Last year your generous Giving Tuesday donations allowed us to purchase an additional 2-wheel easy entry cart for our lesson program. This allowed us to serve more students in 2019!
We have given over 3,000 individualized lessons, all funded entirely by donations. We are a no cost, donation only facility. All of our services are provided free of charge to our students.
This year we have a big ask – $2,000 for horse care support for our therapy horses. We have five therapy horses in our program, four miniatures (Silver, Bear, Charlie and Albert) and a full size horse (Cody). We rely on donations to cover vet cost, twice per year immunizations, hay, feed, farrier, blankets, medicines, and equipment for each horse – 100% of your donations will help cover the cost of SILVER’S CARE!
Silver is the main horse in our program. He has provided THOUSANDS of lessons to our special needs students and he is our “field trip horse” — he has visited libraries, nursing homes and special events, and he pulls Santa’s sleigh each year at the Nutcracker on Ice in Knoxville. He is one of the reasons we started our program!
