Last year your Giving Tuesday donations helped us raise over $10,000 to sponsor student lessons for the year! This is our 10 year anniversary of providing therapeutic carriage driving, literacy training, sensory integration and social and cognitive development. 10 years, six horses, over 50 volunteers, 40 students per week.
To date our program has provided over 9,000 individualized lessons, all funded entirely by donations. We are a no charge, donation only facility. All our services are provided free of charge to our students and their families. We have expanded our program to include licensed trauma informed counseling for students in recent months.
Our goal is to promote and enhance the quality of life experiences for physically, emotionally and mentally challenged individuals through safe and effective physical interaction with equines. We achieve our objective by providing Equine Assisted Learning to include therapeutic horsemanship, literacy and cart driving lessons.
This year we have a matching grant for all Giving Tuesday donations up to $5,000!
As we head into next year, we’re in need of funding for lessons for our students. It costs $3,350 yearly for one student to attend our program. With our matching grant we’ll be able to cover a year of equine therapy for three students if we reach our goal of $5,000!
